This package includes:

 

transfer from airport, 1 night hotel accommodation in Manaus at the beginning at

3 stars hotel with swimming pool and the best panoramic view of the city and Rio Negro, all transport during the tour, (Boat, canoe, car...) breakfast, lunch, dinner, fruits, mineral water (other beverages excluded), 01 English, Spanish, French or German speaking guide and transfer back to the airport.

 The National Park of Jaú

The Park is situated in the lowland plateau in the Western Amazon and North of Amazon state, it is one of the largest National Park in Brazil and in Latin America. It is 2,272,000 hectares in size and 1,250 km of perimeter. It was created on 24th September 1980. It is of paramount importance in ecological terms for its high endemism and richness of its wild flora and fauna. Part of the Park area constitutes of varzea denominated as Pluvial Lowland .Terra firme (formlands)is divided in two: (1) large flat tops separated by shallow valleys occupying the largest area, and (2) small hills on a higher level. There are small areas which are flattened by sand sediments in the Park central part. Open Forest is predominant throughout represented by either Tidal Flat Open Palm Forest especially in varzeas (wet lands) alongside Jau and Carabinani rivers, or Tidal Flat Canopy Dense Forests. In the tidal flat areas, frequently flooded, alongside the Carabinani and Jau rivers there are a great number of palm trees such as paxiúbas (Iriarte spp), cabbage palm (Euterpe oleraceae) and Jauaria (Astrocaryon spp). In older tidal areas, rarely flooded, the predominant palms are miriti and carana (Mauritia spp). Many other tree species are found in the Park area, some of them with commercial value such as Brazilnut tree (Bertholletia excelsa) and sucupira (Bowdichia virgilioides) and others.

 

 

In the Jáu National Park they are no base camps from any tour company because it is prohibited.

PACKAGE - JAU NATIONAL PARK 10 DAYS BOAT EXPEDITION.

 

1st-DAY:

 

 06:00 hrs depart from your hotel by car or van to the port, presentation to our staff and begin your

 expedition.

Navigating down stream of the Negro River taking pictures of the houses built on stilts, floating houses and continue until arriving at the famous meeting of the two waters of the Negro & Solimões river where the boat will stop for a short while for you to take pictures and the guide will gave you explanation the reason why they rivers don’t mix.

 

Then sail to the January Ecological Park where you stop to see the giant Amazon water Lilies continue navigating up stream of the Rio Negro, lunch on the boat, meet the beginning of the great-

Archipielago Islands

which is an Eco-reserve it is the largest chain link of islands in the world made up of some 400 islands where you will see the wonderful tributaries through it and continue until arrive at the Novo Airão village where you stop to swim and touch the Dolphins. Continue

2nd-DAY:

 

07:00hrs breakfast and sail until arrive at the Jau National Park entrance where we present all permits from the IBAMA then enter the park, during your visit in the park the activities will not be planned day by day or hour by hour so get total flexibility, you will have the activities to choose which you like to do and how long you like because 99% of our guest comes here with interest to get the best pictures of the Amazon forest and wild life. The activities will be as followed bellow;

 

Jungle walk to learn about medicinal plants, camping in the forest, paddle canoe trip in the narrow creeks, canoe trip at night looking for nocturnal animals, visit and sleep at a native home, several walk in the forest looking for animals, you will see rocks with ancient native Indians  carvings, caiman spotting at night with flash light, bird watching, fishing, swimming in water falls, learn how to preserve the forest.

 

10th-DAY:

 

Breakfast and prepare to travel back to Manaus, arrive at 17:00 hrs, drop off at the hotel or direct to the airport.

The most important reptiles are: the land turtle, river alligator, jacaretinga, sucuri and tortoise.

 

The birds that stand out are : macaws, herons, Egret, Hoatzin, jacus, inhambús, parrots, bacuraus, wood pickers, wood creepers, Fish hawks, snail hawk and others.

 

The mammals are: tapirs, giant otters, river dolphins, caitetu, capybaras, agoutis, Howler monkeys, Squirrel monkeys, several kinds of monkeys, pumas and jaguars, pacas, manatees, sloth , armadillos and deer among others.

This 05 Days expedition is done in with adventure which means that you will be sleeping at the native Caboclos family home and camping in the forest where you will be sleeping in hammocks in both places.

1st-DAY:

 

 05:30am depart from your hotel by car or van to the port where you depart in fast boat to the

 

Cacãu Pireira village, then travel by bus to the Novo Airão village where you stop to swim and touch the Dolphins and take pictures of them,  lunch  and continue traveling in a fast boat through the great .
